Hello or Hallo! My name is Hidde de Vries.
I'm a creative producer and marketing professional originally from The Netherlands, but living, studying, and working in California
for
over 8 years now.  Don't worry about the pronunciation of my name.

I called my company The Creative Dutchman

to make it a little easier for you.

I studied Business Administration at Stenden University in Holland and Film & Marketing at UCLA. I interned at ImageMovers at

Universal Studios from director Robert Zemeckis

and got to sit next to Mr. Wilson (Cast Away)!

When I was younger I loved to participate in price contests (I won a contest from Adidas which got me to play a soccer game with legend Zinedine Zidane) and I basically turned this into my profession.

I pitch ideas to clients on a regular basis.

The company name might suggest this creative agency is run by just me, but that's far from the truth. I work together with a creative team

of very talented people. Our passion is telling stories through film.

A (short) film can help you connect with your audience and fans on an emotional level. In the end, it's all about the story you want to tell.

Journalist Rob Walker proved this with an experiment. He posted hundreds of insignificant items on eBay and invited professional writers to come up with a story for each of them. This way he managed to sell a plastic horse head worth $0.99 cents, for $62.95!

My passions are films, (funny) advertisements, soccer, animation, and family entertainment. Some of my favorite movies are Amélie,
Rain Man, Intouchables, Rear Window, Inside Out,
The Grand Budapest Hotel, and La Vita è Bella.

I would love to help you tell your story.
